前言

　　目前，國內(nèi)高職高專院校的大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革不斷走向深入，“以應(yīng)用為目的，實用為主，夠用為度”的指導(dǎo)原則已經(jīng)深入人心。在這一背景下，出現(xiàn)了不少各具特色的大學(xué)英語教材，它們都不同程度地、從不同的角度反映了新形勢下高職院校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革的新思路和課程教學(xué)新模式的需要。由于創(chuàng)新型國家的建設(shè)與和諧社會的構(gòu)建不斷對高職高專實用創(chuàng)新型人才的培養(yǎng)提出了更高的要求，由于高職高專院校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革不斷走向新階段，開拓出新的層面，也由于高職高專生源的地域差異和學(xué)生畢業(yè)后所就業(yè)的行業(yè)差異較大，更好地反映和引導(dǎo)改革中種種新的嘗試和新探索的新教材的開發(fā)仍然十分必要?！　』谶@一考慮，重慶大學(xué)出版社組織四川省相關(guān)領(lǐng)域的專家和20多所院校的一線教師，在廣泛調(diào)研的基礎(chǔ)上，編寫了這套《高職高專創(chuàng)新大學(xué)英語系列教材》。參與教材編寫的既有教育部在該地區(qū)重點高校的骨干教師，也有長期在高職高專教學(xué)一線的骨干教師?！　”窘滩囊越逃俊陡呗毟邔＝逃⒄Z課程教學(xué)基本要求》為依據(jù)，以四川省和其他西部省市的高職高專教育以及大學(xué)英語教育的實際為出發(fā)點，以“打好基礎(chǔ)，注重培養(yǎng)實際使用語言的技能，特別是使用英語處理日常和涉外業(yè)務(wù)活動的能力”為原則，以“實用為主，夠用為度”為編寫指導(dǎo)思想。

內(nèi)容概要

《創(chuàng)新大學(xué)英語3》是《高職高專創(chuàng)新大學(xué)英語系列教材》主教材的第三冊。本冊含8個單元，每個單元有2篇簡短生動的閱讀課文，選文涉及情感、文化、風(fēng)俗、倫理、商業(yè)、金融等多種題材，時代感強。每個單元內(nèi)的練習(xí)板塊按照Reading，speaking，Listening和writing的順序安排，既體現(xiàn)了對同一交際主題的反復(fù)強化，又可達(dá)到學(xué)生自然語言輸出的目的。每個單元分別覆蓋不同的交際主題，強化不同的語法知識，培養(yǎng)不同文體的應(yīng)用文寫作能力。多條線索之間既相互平行，又通過共同訓(xùn)練的高頻詞匯、共同強調(diào)的實際能力以及交際內(nèi)容和交際形式的有機聯(lián)系而充分融合在一起，共同服務(wù)于提高學(xué)生實用交際能力的目標(biāo)。同時本書還配有光盤，可供學(xué)生自學(xué)或復(fù)習(xí)時使用。

　　Once upon a time， there was a guy who was very much in love with this girl. Thisromantic guy folded 1，000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl. Although， at thattime he was just a small executive in his company and his future didn t seem too bright，they were very happy together. Until one day， his girl told him she was going to Paris andwould never come back. She also told him that she could not visualize any future for bothof them， so each of them might as well go his own way there and then... Heartbroken，the guy agreed.　　When he regained his confidence， he worked hard day and night， slogging his bodyand mind just to make something out of himself. Finally with all the hard work and with thehelp of friends， this guy had set up his own company.　　"You will never fail until you stop trying. " He always told himself. "I must make it inlife ！"　　One rainy day， while this guy was driving， he saw an elderly couple sharing anumbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella， they were stilldrenched. It didn t take him long to realize that those were his ex-girlfriend s parents.With a heart in getting back at them， he drove slowly beside the couple， wanting them tospot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasnt the sameanymore； he had his own company， car， condo， etc. He had made it in life！　　Before the guy could realize， the couple was walking towards a cemetery， and he gotout of his car and followed them. He saw his ex-girlfriend， a photograph of her smilingsweetly as ever at him from her tombstone， and he saw his precious paper cranes in abottle placed beside her tomb. Her parents saw him. He walked over and asked them whythis had happened. They explained that she did not leave for France at all. She wasstricken ill with cancer. In her heart， she had believed that he would make it someday，but she did not want her illness to be his obstacle； therefore she had chosen to leave him.
